This is a photograph of a young man holding an infant, was in amongst a collection of my older sister's pictures. She had given it to me to scan for her, along with some other photographs. She understood it to be her baby picture and was actually very proud of it.
Thus, I thought that this photo was my older sister's baptism picture. Little did I realize that it is actually mine! I have another photograph of myself, at about six months of age and that one is what I thought was my baptism picture.
Recently, I have become involved in doing a family genealogy and through all of this, the truth has come to light.
The date of the baptism was August 12, 1945.
The place of the baptism is St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Baptism records reveal that the baby being baptized is named Wilma Dianne Kukkee, yes, Diane with two n's. The young man holding the baby is Robert Danberger, my uncle. The baptism records also reveal Uncle Bob as having been present, at the baptism. It appears that he is wearing a boy scout uniform and cap.
